Melinda also set the state record in the 2 mile

from Summit is comprised of Zirbel cousins or
sisters. The sisters' 12th sibling was born
earlier in season(8 girls, 4 boys in the
family). So far, they are the only runners. |

from McCook stops by the t-shirt table for a

travel. |

Many thanks to Jackie Schumacher,
Sarah Goodart, Matt Thompson and Brianne Bussell
from Central High School (pictured above) who
took many of the photographs used in these State
Cross Country Championship pages on sdpb.org.
The day proved to be a challenging, real-world
photo-journalism opportunity for the budding
photographers. Thank you to Faith HS student
manager Marlayna McGinnis for a little on site
leg-work. Thanks also to the staff at SDHS
Activities, the event coordinators and the Elks
Club for their support. |
