The Watertown Civic Arena will be the site for the State Competitive Cheer and Dance Championships on October 24-25, 2014. Competition will begin at 5:00 p.m. (CT) on Friday, October 24 for Class A cheer and dance performances. Class AA competition will begin at 11:00 a.m. (CT) on Saturday, October 25.

The cheer competition consists of stunting/tumbling and stunting/non-tumbling divisions. Dance competition will have four categories: pom, jazz, hip hop, and kick. Schools will be allowed to compete in a maximum of three (3) categories.

To qualify for the State Competition, each school must compete in a minimum of two (2) competitions during the regular season. Awards will be given following the competition on each day. The Class A cheer and dance awards presentation will be at approximately 8:30 p.m. (CT) on Friday, with Class AA awards scheduled for approximately 4:30 p.m. (CT) on Saturday.
