SDPB Will webcast the 3rd/5th/7th Place and Championship Matches STARTING SATURDAY AT 4:00PM from both tournament sites.  The State "A" Tournament will be broadcast statewide on SDPB Television.

At the State Tournament a Double Elimination format with four mats will be used until the final session. In the final session of the State Tournament three mats will be used to determine third, fifth and seventh places. One mat will be used to determine the champion of each weight class.

Pairings in the fourteen weight classes for each State Wrestling Tournament (Class B & A) follows a pre-determined plan with the drawings for each of the weight classes conducted by the Executive Staff at the SDHSAA Headquarters. The first round pairings will always have the first place
qualifiers wrestling the fourth place qualifiers and the second place qualifiers
wrestling the third place qualifiers. Wrestlers will not be paired against someone from their region in the first round.
