SDHSAA member schools with A.D.M. enrollments of 450 and above will compete in the Class “AA” State Tournament. Each “AA” school may enter two 2-person switch-side teams in Policy Debate, two contestants in each of the three individual events , two Lincoln-Douglas debaters and two Public Forum Debate teams.

Class “A” schools are all schools with A.D.M. enrollments below 450. Class “A” school may enter one or two Policy Debate teams (either 2-person teams and/or 4-person teams) and may also enter two contestants in each of the three individual events , two Lincoln-Douglas debaters and two Public Forum Debate teams
