SF O'Gorman's Liz Donahue and
Katherine Ludens handled Mitchell's doubles
team, Aubrey Clemens and Linda DesLauriers, 6-1, 6-3 in the first round of
double play this afternoon. "It was a good
match with some good volleys," said
Donahue. "When the sun went behind the
clouds it was cold ,"added Ludens. |

and Ashley Waltman take on hometown rival
RC Stevens doubles team Kinsley Powers and
Maia McKinstry. Lindsey said, "I like
playing tennis in this kind of
weather," but added that she
likes singles play better than doubles.
"I do better individually than with a
partner especially my younger sister which
is sometimes hard. As long as she doesn't
beat me, we get along fine." |

Emily Gaster out played RC Stevens senior
Maia McKinstry in round two 7-5, 6-4.
Gaster said, "I've been playing for
about four years. It's my only sport.
Volleying is my favorite part (of
tennis)." |

Maya Ristic, Vermillion took on
RC Steven's Kinsley Powers in Friday's 3rd round
match. She won 6-3, 6-3. "It was cold out
there... but once you got out there you forget
about the cold. Last year I made the quarters,
and I hope to do better (this year)". |

Thursday afternoons play
went well into the evening as Vermillion
played St. Thomas More. The match
ended at 7:55pm with STM coming out on top
6-2, 3-6, 7-5. |
