The Sioux Falls O'Gorman State Champion Coach Mike Begeman gets the winning word from Sioux Falls Activity Director Mark Meile.

State Runner-Up Sioux Falls Washington  finished with a 648, just 5 strokes behind SF O'Gorman. Washington Coach Eric Smith said, "I'm really proud of how they stuck together all year. They had great senior leadership. It just goes to show what a lot of hard work and dedication can do." Next year will be a rebuilding year for the Warriors. "We've got some talent coming up, but they have little experience," added Smith.

Sioux Falls Roosevelt's  Adam Severson and Kyle Nickles anxiously await the  results. SF Roosevelt  finished 4th with a 658 team score. Other team members were Adam Wudel, Dan Menke and Ryan Trasamar.
The ninth hole humbled David Hoffman of Sturgis who spent a little longer than anticipated at this green. On in two shots, the third time on the green proved the charm as Hoffman finally sent the ball home and scratched down a 6 on the par 4. Here,on his second attempt, the ball veered right and rolled back to his feet. Hoffman would not be denied on his next shot.

Sioux Falls Lincoln's Barry Reuwsaat followed Hoffman and checked the ball placement and the green more than twice hoping to better Hoffman's performance. Reuwsaat still left the 9th green with a 6. Both Hoffman(left) and Reuwsaat were visibly shaken.

Josh Goettsch from SF Washington tees off on the 10 hole (par 3). Goettsch posted a 37 on the first nine holes played today just shy of Jonathon Hewitt of SF O'Gorman who shot a 36 on the front 9.
Ryan Trasamar with 7-iron in hand. He aced the 4th hole in his opening round en-route to a 73. The ball he used for his ace was lost later in the water hazard on 14.
Geoff Beek of Sioux Falls Lincoln tees of  the back nine on his opening round of the tournament. Justin Almond of Huron and Joe Wilson of Sioux Falls Washington look on.
Jon Wepking of Huron, Luke Mesmer of Aberdeen, and Bill Shelter of Sturgis putt on the 11th Green.
