The 2001 State Cross Country meet was held October
20th on a course at the Elks Golf Club in Rapid City. The AA Boys competition
began at 3:00pm MDT. 16 schools with 112 participants entered the state meet. The Class AA overall
State Meet record was set in 1991 in Mitchell by Greg
Jimmerson of RC Stevens. Last year's champion, Erik
Grumstrup of RC Stevens has graduated so a new Class
AA champion was crowned. The top 20 individual
placers received medals. Trophies were awarded
to the champion and runner-up teams with plaques to
the third and fourth teams in each class. Follow the menu expansion to "5000 meters"
